Welcome to Class 41

Your participation in Leadership Tulsa is important, not only to you personally, but also to this community. To read more about my thoughts regarding how Leadership Tulsa and the prosperity of this community are entwined, please take a look at the attached article I recently wrote for the Tulsa World.

I'd love to start a conversation about how YOU would define prosperity - either personally or for our community!

  1. I agree with Wendy, absolutely, that part of what makes Tulsa such a prosperous community is its philanthropic bent. And while that inclination may have been started by those with great actual wealth, I believe it continues in the lives of Tulsans who volunteer time and talent to better our community.

Leadership Tulsa expands this "wealth", one class at a time, and is part of my definition of prosperity for me and for my community.

If you will call the office at 477-7079, we can get you your user ID and password for the directory.

  4. Can anyone provide the name of the book mentioned by Jeff Wilkie? It was something like "The Smartest People in the Room". Thank you, Karen

  5. Karen, I believe Jeff was referring to the book "Smartest Guys in the Room: The Amazing Rise and Scandalous Fall of Enron."

I haven't had a chance to read the book yet but I have seen the movie twice and absolutely love it. :)

  6. I think both Wendy and Ellen hit the nail on the head. Prosperity is more then flashy cars and flashy clothes. Throughout American history, we have wrestled with the dangers of prosperity and over looked the simple fact that prosperity is the ability to help those in our community and those beyond our community.
